Chic, Intimate Wedding in and around Downtown Montreal

There’s nothing like getting married on the coldest day of the year…said nobody ever. My first wedding of 2023 and it was a nice and frigid -40 with windchill outside! But none of that mattered because Natalia and Hugo brought all the warm energy you could ask for! They had an intimate and chic wedding in downtown Montreal.

Natalia got ready at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal while Hugo was suiting up at home. The ceremony was an intimate one of 50 people at the stunning Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul on Redpath before Natalia and Hugo braved the cold weather for some photos outdoors. This is what I loved about these two - it would have been so easy to just rush back inside, but they went for it! We did photos outside of the Musée de Beaux Arts and the Ritz!

As soon as we got back into their room at the Ritz, they warmed themselves up and popped a bottle of champagne which led to a really cool and unique sequence of photos! They were jumping on the bed, blending a little silly with a little soulful - I absolutely loved this deviation from the traditional vibe of wedding portraits!

The reception was at the very elegant Chez Lévesque restaurant in Outremont. The cutting of the cake was very cute but Natalia’s father stole the show for a with a lovely speech in English, French and Brazilian-Portuguese so that all of her family could understand. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the 2023 wedding season!
