Beautiful Heritage Site Wedding Photographed at Sucrerie de la Montagne Outside of Montreal

When I came to Montréal I learned a lot about French Canadian culture, and knowing about the sugar shack is something to experience!! So when Maggie and Marc picked the legendary, and Heritage site, Sucrerie de la Montagne as their venue for their fall wedding, I knew it was going to be a fun and special day! The site has cabins spread out on the grounds, so Maggie and Marc got ready in separate ones.

Red, pink and white bouquet

Maggie’s look was so beautiful! She went for a woodland fairy look with statement Jacquemus shoes and her tattoos tied the whole look together. She looked gorgeous and so cool! Marc had a dapper look with his burgundy suit and wooden cufflinks made from aged scotch barrels. Maggie decked out her bridesmaids in black satin and they all threw on hand embroidered denim jackets when it got a bit cooler in the evening.

Guests came in on horse drawn carriages to the ceremony, which was held under a stunning and distinctive arch in the forest. We did portraits on an open field on the grounds with the natural backdrop of leaves changing colors on the trees - it was perfect.

The reception was under an always elegant Sperry tent and the menu…you guessed it, traditional sweet and savory sugar shack cuisine! After the meal, Maggie and Marc had a really cute moment cutting the cake and then literally everyone hit the dance floor and partied the night away!
