A Stylish Bar Mitzvah on a Beautiful, Sprawling Family Estate in Magog

I love getting out of the city for events because it changes things up for me artistically and I get to discover new places - was I ever blown away by this location! Mandy and Jordan were hosting their son Andrew’s Bar Mitzvah at their family’s estate in Magog and it was breathtaking. The Rabbi hosted the ceremony on the grounds with the backdrop of water views of Lac Memphrémagog.

The cocktail was served around the pool and the pool house with hors d'oeuvres from Ristorante Gentile in Montréal with lunch following under a gorgeous Sperry tent. The table setting had a Mediterranean vibe with blue plates, white flowers and even some lemons in the flower arrangements on elegant country style wood tables. Erika Ludwick of Melica Events did an unbelievable job planning and designing this event.

It was a really fun celebration for Andrew! The guests celebrated with a hora, lifting Andrew up in a chair, he had what I hope was his first nip of scotch and partied with all his friends! The live music during the event by Sule Heitner was exceptional - some of the best I’ve seen. One of the highlights for the kids was the opening of the bar…the candy bar! What a fun day celebrating this coming-of-age tradition.
